Annual ABAT Toy Drive

As a tribute to our Messiah Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar’s Mahaparinirvan Din, our organization Ambedkarite Buddhist Association of Texas ( ABAT) initiated a mission ‘Payback to Society’. As part of this commitment, from last few years, our organization and with help of our generous members we donate toys to other nonprofit organizations who specifically cater to children care and needs. In the spirit of paying back to the society, in December 2023, we were able to collect 48 toys & some stationary & other things and donate to Ronald McDonald House of Dallas which is located near top children’s hospitals and provide accommodations to parents who can stay close to their hospitalized child and benefit without incurring hotel and food costs.

2022

December 2022, our organization donated 45 toys.

2021

December 2021, with generous donations from members of our organization we were able to donate 50 toys.

2020

During the pandemic period, we still donated toys to Foster Care named Circles of Care in December 2020

     We strongly believe that by honoring Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar’s legacy, we can make a positive impact on the lives of others and fulfill our mission of community payback.
